Camu Makes Cafeteria Management Easy, Error-free and Efficient
In educational institutions with on-campus residential facilities, managing student meal consumption across dining halls (messes or cafeterias) can be a complex task. Maintaining manual registers is time-consuming, often leading to long queues and errors.
Camu’s updated Hostel Management module now features a robust Cafeteria Management system that significantly simplifies this process.
Meal Types and Timings Configuration
Administrators can configure timings for various meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) and specify types of meals (vegetarian, non-vegetarian, Jain, etc.) that are offered.
Facilities Configuration
An institution may have multiple dining facilities on the campus. The institution may offer, say breakfast and snacks at one location, and lunch and dinner at another. Or, they may have separate facilities for serving vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals.
The administrator can define multiple dining facilities, their locations, meal timings and types offered, staff responsible for handling the facility, and catering vendors.
Meal Configuration
Every meal on offer can then be configured by associating an image to it, and mapping the mealtime, type, and the facilities where it is offered. The administrator can also choose the days of the week on which the meal is provided.
Meal Schedule Configuration
The system generates a date-wise meal schedule based on configurations, which can further be modified if need be.
For example, a particular weekday might be a holiday and they may be serving non-vegetarian meals on that day although as per the original configuration it is only served on weekends.
Mapping of Students
Some institutions have different students going to different dining facilities. For example, there might be a separate mess for freshers, another for sophomores, and so on.
Camu provides a feature to map sets of students, based on different criteria, to different facilities.
Student View
Students can then view their assigned dining facilities for each meal on the MyCamu mobile app.
Meal Attendance Update Based on QR Code
Upon entering a dining facility, students can select their meal, and a QR code will appear on their mobile device. Staff can scan the code to record attendance and grant entry.
Report Generation
Administrators can generate comprehensive reports on meal consumption based on various criteria. Downloadable reports provide valuable data for planning and control purposes.
Camu Cafeteria Management empowers hostels to offer a more efficient and convenient dining experience for students, streamline operations, eliminate manual errors, ensure accurate tracking of meal consumption, and optimize resources.
