Camu, a leading campus management solution, continually strives to enhance the user experience by ensuring every interaction is seamless, smooth, and stress-free. Our commitment to product innovation has led to the release of two new key features: Email ID Configuration and Moderator View. Let’s explore what these features are and how they add value to institutions.

Email ID Configuration

Camu’s Email ID Configuration feature significantly improves institutional communication by allowing primary stakeholders—faculty, students, and parents—to receive important updates efficiently.

Previously, email alerts from Camu were sent from generic email addresses like [email protected], which risked being ignored or lost in inboxes. Now, emails can be configured to appear as coming from the institution’s authorized personnel such as the Head of Department or Registrar, creating more trust and visibility.

Setup: Admins can configure this by navigating to: Communication -> Configuration -> Customer Email ID Configuration

Types of Email Alerts Available:

Enable email notification alerts
Enable weekly email notification alerts
Enable daily faculty schedule update notifications
Enable daily absent student list notifications
Enable weekly performance reports (good and bad)
Enable notifications for changes in student information

This feature ensures important communications reach stakeholders effectively, making notifications simple and impactful.

Moderator View

The Moderator View feature empowers institutions with better governance and faster problem resolution by allowing authorized personnel to access and troubleshoot user profiles directly.

Student Moderator View

Authorized admins can type the student’s name or roll number, select “view as student,” and access the student’s dashboard. This view shows:

Percentage of registered portal users
Active students and parents
Student portal login status
Graphical user activity over the last 7 days

Staff Moderator View

Similarly, admins can enter a staff member’s name, select “view as staff,” and access the faculty profile for issue resolution. This streamlines customer care and technical support, enhancing operational efficiency.
