Introduction: What’s New at Camu?

Course Progression: Paving the Best Course Trajectory

Student-course engagement finds new opportunities with Camu’s latest feature upgrade.

Course Progression maps out the journey a student takes throughout a course, guiding them through topics and subtopics. As a course creator, your institution can determine exactly how students navigate the content.

Two modes are available:

• Linear Form: Students progress sequentially. They must complete lessons, topics, or quizzes in order—no skipping allowed. For example, chapter 2 unlocks only after chapter 1 is completed.

• Free Form: Students can explore the course content in any order, such as completing chapter 10 before chapter 4. While flexible, logical progression is recommended. Pre-requisites can still be set for certain topics or courses.

Additionally, Requirements Based Progression lets institutes require completion of specific elite courses before accessing advanced ones, adding a layer of controlled progression.

Assignments: Driving Administrative Efficiency

The Assignments tab now offers enhanced control over assignment management, grading, and submissions.

• Upload up to 2GB of data files per assignment.

• Add URLs to assignments when posting.

• Customize grading settings: select Grade Category, Grade Using, and Grade System to normalize scores.

• Set submission deadlines with options for late submissions to accommodate special cases.

• Post assignments with a defined Available Period at the semester’s start.

• Assign tasks to individual students or groups.

Faculty can monitor assignments via the Grade Book, viewing submission status, timestamps, and average scores. Feedback can be provided on every submission for improved student support.

Mail Merge: Scaling Distribution of Certificates

Issuing certificates en masse just got easier with Camu’s Mail Merge feature.

• Generate batches of personalized certificates like Bonafide or Graduation certificates.

• Upload multiple templates applicable across domains and branches.

• Select recipients, apply the template, and automatically generate certificates tailored to each student.

• Certificates are customizable based on degree, program, department, academic year, and more.

• Students can download any certificate they require — from ID cards to transcripts.
