Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

Program Outcomes (PO)
Program Outcomes describe the expected achievements of students upon completing a program. These measurable goals reflect where graduates should be professionally and academically three to five years after finishing their studies.
POs align with the mission of the educational institution and are designed to be specific, measurable, and outcome-oriented.
Course Outcomes (CO)
Course Outcomes are specific, measurable statements about what a student will learn in a particular course. These outcomes align with program outcomes and should be clearly stated in course materials and syllabi.
COs help educators assess learning progress and provide meaningful feedback, guiding students on areas to focus on for improvement.

OBE perfectly aligns with the student-centric and outcome-focused goals of NEP 2020.
The policy emphasizes creating a holistic, multidisciplinary, and results-oriented education system. It highlights the importance of clearly defined outcomes that guide curriculum design, teaching methods, and assessment strategies.
