A Smarter Approach to Attendance-Based Examination Eligibility
Camu has introduced an advanced new feature to streamline the process of validating student attendance eligibility for examinations. This enhancement ensures that institutions can automatically determine whether a student meets the required attendance criteria to appear for exams. Importantly, this functionality is available regardless of whether attendance is recorded within Camu or maintained through other means.
Authorized senior staff members can configure the minimum attendance percentage required for examination eligibility. This threshold can be set either cumulatively at the program level or individually for each course. The configuration process is intuitive and allows institutions to establish clear eligibility criteria.
Once the eligibility parameters are set, faculty members can access the 'Manage Student Attendance Percentage' screen to review student eligibility. The system automatically categorizes students into 'Eligible' and 'Ineligible' groups, simplifying the process of determining who can register for exams.
In situations where attendance records require updates, authorized staff members can manually adjust attendance percentages. Additionally, they have the flexibility to override the eligibility status, ensuring that students who have legitimate reasons for absences or discrepancies in records can still appear for exams.
Once attendance data is finalized, it seamlessly integrates with Camu’s Examination Management module. This ensures that students who do not meet the attendance criteria are automatically restricted from registering for exams. However, a manual override option is also available within the Examination Management module, allowing institutions to grant or revoke eligibility as necessary.
For institutions that maintain attendance records outside Camu, the system still enables attendance-based eligibility validation. Institutions can specify eligibility criteria for different time periods, ensuring flexibility in assessment.
Attendance data can be uploaded in the specified format, either cumulatively or for specific periods, depending on institutional requirements. Camu then processes the data and categorizes students accordingly. As with system-recorded attendance, authorized personnel retain the ability to override attendance data and eligibility status when necessary.
This feature streamlines attendance-based examination eligibility by automating validation, reducing manual effort, and ensuring accuracy. Camu provides a seamless, configurable solution that upholds institutional policies while allowing flexibility for genuine exceptions. Institutions can efficiently manage eligibility, ensuring only qualified students register for exams.
